Field Quality Controller – Turkey (Mens Tailored product)

Position Description:

The Field QC Tailored will be responsible for all technical aspects related to the production process. He/she will be working with local vendors and overseeing the production facilities to help guide them in producing excellent quality products that are meeting the technical quality requirements. This role is field based around Turkey and the candidate will ideally be located in or near Istanbul.

Key responsibilities:

• Support and build strong working relationship for all technical and quality issues, between Europe Division, Central Supply Chain dept. and Factory management.
• Monitor the technical product realization and improving of the quality level
• Fit and approve proto’s, salesmen samples, preproduction samples together with development and design team.
• Work at vendors in Line to train & guide the production process according to our requirements
• Introduce our quality and workmanship standards to the vendor
• Effect inline inspection and final QC control at the vendor/factory.
• Support in monitoring the production deadlines for sampling and bulk.
• Analyze defect issues and help to minimize the second choice percentage.
• Evaluate new potential production locations and suppliers.
• Support Corporate Responsibility when required

Desired Skills and Job Requirements:

• Be a team player
• Technical Textile/Garment Education
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in production factories, with specific experience within tailoring
• Product Person with extensive technical background
• Willingness to travel extensively and spending some time abroad
• Used to work under pressure with deadlines.
• Preferably from Istanbul region
• Fluent in English
• Good MS Office knowledge
