Buyer – Linen & Soft Furnishing

My client, an established and much loved retailer, are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage and develop their Linens & Soft Furnishing business.

The role oversees a number large, complex categories including, Bed Linen, Duvets, Pillows Towels, Bathroom Accessories, Curtains and Cushions.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes;

• Hands –on can do attitude. Proactive and creative.
• A proven track record of achieving sales and profit growth.
• Excellent market and supplier knowledge and awareness of home fashion trends
• Able to assimilate different local customer needs and range accordingly.
• Commercially aware, able to range plan for different store assortments including promotional buying.
• An astute and strong negotiator.
• A good communicator who is able strategise, convey ideas and buying vision.
• Possesses both buying and merchandising skills with strong ability to able to trade department.
• A great people person who is able empathise with store teams and achieve the best from suppliers.
• Highly organised and able to multi task and work under own initiative
• A Passion for retailing, drive, enthusiasm and determination to succeed.
• Knowledge of the Linens business is essential.
• Knowledge of Department Store retailing is an advantage but not essential.
• An able marketer, aware of the changing digital communication.
