This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and aspiration luxury womenswear brand in Central London. This is a new role due to the growth of the business.
• Ensure that Critical Path for all bags/associated accessories is adhered to, to ensure ex-factory deadlines are met.
• Manage planning production capacity in advance with suppliers.
• Ensure raw materials are ordered in line with target delivery dates where necessary.
• Negotiate with suppliers to minimize cost whilst maintaining quality and negotiate MOQs, discounts and surcharges where necessary if delays occur.
• Work closely with the Design department to collate information about the new season’s buy.
• Ensure the product is manufactured to the required quality through management of the quality control and assurance process with suppliers and the Quality Controller.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Supplier Manual. Ensure that suppliers adhere to the terms of the manual and negotiate improved terms where this does not occur.
• Assess unused raw material and formulate a plan of action with other members of the management team.
• Ensure quarterly reconciliations of stock system records to the Financial Accounts.
• Quarterly Freight Cost analysis.
• Production Scheduling and Summary, shared with relevant end users.
• Management of 1 and therefore must know and be able to perform tasks of a Production Coordinator.
• Create the seasonal cost sheets and other ad hoc cost sheets to ensure all products achieve company margins.
• Manage season set up and production administration.
• Travel on QC trips.
• Place factory POs.
A highly organised individual with a structured and methodical working style, as well as a focused and detail orientated approach. Must be able to demonstrate problem solving ability.
• Previous experience in a similar role supervising production of leather bags/accessories
• Experience of working with a fashion production IT system and interaction with Finance/other departments/systems
• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
