This client are a well known High St brand that have been influencing the UK retail market for more than 200 years.

They currently have a fantastic vacancy for a Multi-product Technologist to join their Womenswear Technical division on an initial 6m contract. They are looking for a progressive, diligent and enthusiastic technologist to fill the role who can support and develop as the Technical division goes through a period of exciting change.
Your main remit will be to ensure that the garments are being produced to the required quality standard and that they are technically developed from design concept through to bulk production.
• Approving garments from proto sample stage into bulk production
• Guiding product design with risk assessment, fabric knowledge, garment construction and size specs
• Communicate clearly all technical specifications to internal and external contacts in line with business requirements
• Attending fit meetings and checking comments
• Creating and develop accurate product specifications
• Monitoring the production of sample garments
• Work closely with the buying and design team to support the development process from a technical perspective
• Maintain and constantly improve all aspects of the quality and construction of all products
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role previously for a retailer or supplier, and be ready for a new challenge.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge, and an understand the construction and the basic manufacturing processes
• Have previous experience, and a passion for Womenswear
• Be a confident decision maker and able to work effectively in a pressurised fast paced environment
• A desire to learn and progress
