• You’ll develop and standardise blocks in the lingerie, men’s /ladies nightwear and men’s underwear dept
• You’ll create effective working relationships with both new and current suppliers
• You’ll take garments through from initial sample stage through to final production seal stage
• You’ll be responsible for the correct standard of fit and garment construction of each product
• You’ll be in charge if a follow up on the fit approval procedure for each supplier, including sending back fit and quality comments
• You’ll sign off all fit and production samples against supplier comments and approved garment specs
• You’ll organize, attend and manage department fit sessions with the suppliers and product teams
• You’ll book fit models and processing their POs
• You’ll create administrative systems and tools to help track and manage the fit of garments through the product cycle/ critical path
• You’ll research, develop and drive garment innovative
• You’ll inline with the internal quality assurance team – help check test reports and fibre compositions
• You’ll assess garment stability and durability trials to ensure the product is fit for purpose and is free from banned substances
• You’ll ensure care labels have all necessary information included and comply with International legislation
• You’ll be a lead decision maker when taking actions in case of quality issues at source
• You’ll work closely with internal product teams, quality assurance, vendor management, ethical trade management
• You’ll support in seasonal supplier performance evaluations
• You’ll take the lead with department supplier and quality manual guidelines
• You are qualified as a senior garment technician or equivalent education
• You have strong professional experience in the textile industry within garment technology, specifically within Lingerie, Underwear and Nightwear
• Ideally you have international experience in the textile industry, gathered knowledge of the European textile market
• You are experienced with dealing with FE suppliers and have a thorough understanding of FE and European manufacturing facilities
• You have good knowledge about product compliance and product safety
• You are confident and an effective communicator, able to handle multiple suppliers in a fast paced fashion environment
• You provide strong analytical, strategic and problem solving skills
• You have good knowledge in administrative topics, monitoring and reporting – medium level ability to navigate Word and Excel
• You are able to cope with a rapidly changing environment, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
